Sara Lorusso: Director, Gabriel's Singers and Seraphim Orchestra
Sara Lorusso has been Director of Children’s Choirs at St. Benedict’s since 2003. Sara has been a working musician in the Archdiocese of Atlanta for 39 years, beginning at the Cathedral of Christ the King, where she was Associate Music Director. She has served as Music Director at St. Catherine of Siena in Kennesaw and St. George in Newnan. During the 13 years she has been at St. Benedict’s, the children’s choir program has expanded from one choir to four and a chamber orchestra has been formed as well. Lauri Potter, Director, Cherubs and Archangels Choirs
Lauri has been at St. Benedicts since 2003 as the director of Refiner's Fire, the adult contemporary choir. She started with the Cherubs and Archangels in 2004 and has volunteered at Vacation Bible School since 1998. She holds a degree in Music Education from Bradley University in Peoria, IL and has done Masters study at DePaul University in Chicago. She is the Music Teacher at Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Johns Creek and proud mom to Meghan, a student at Florida State University and Jordan, a student at Berry College. All children at St. Ben's are encouraged to sing in one of the choirs - we love the angel voices!
Dana Oshinski: Accompanist Dana Oshinski is the principal accompanist for the Angels of Light choir, and she is also the pianist for the traditional choir at St. Benedict's and plays for the Saturday Masses. Dana has been a member of St. Benedict's for 17 years along with her husband, David, and 3 children, Jonathan, Joshua, and Wendy. She is the Dean of Academics for PreK-Kindergarten at Pinecrest Academy where she also teaches PreK4. Dana's favorite memories of her work with the music department are the cantatas produced with the middle and high school choirs along with the Seraphim Players, as well as the trip to Italy to celebrate Fr. Flood's 23rd anniversary.
